Yes Meitoro did make a mistake with the eyes, but not on this page. (thanks for making this mistake though, else I never woulda thought to check the previous pages)

Inazuma, Shiraiyuki, and Ikazuchi are the only normal ships on the base. Shimakaze is just a freaking renshou, and Kikuzuki is... different. Hibiki only speaks in pokespeak and has aspects of her Verniy remodel. As to why... this base is a shithole, let's not kid ourselves.

Congrats/condolances, Inazuma, Yuki-chan seems to have moved onto shipping KamiBep.

I question calling Inazuma a "bastion of normality and sanity" when she's irrationally all gung-ho about LSC-ing despite repeated warnings, punishments, low resources and repeated failures.

I think the "this base is a hellhole" observation is rather correct. That real admiral has been hiding in a closet eating energy bars while the base collapsed around them because they were too lazy to do anything about it. There's no doubt they'd be a shittier admiral by far.

Inazuma isn't being completely unreasonable, she's just not cut out for command. Her main fixation upon trying to get battleships no matter the resource cost seems rather well-founded compared to sending out a fleet of nothing but destroyers where nearly everyone gets heavy damaged and she gets a train of aggro mobs consisting of most of the entire abyssal fleet at once. Even if they can't feed a battleship for long, they NEED firepower just to break the blockade.

Except that the blockade has only ever manifested whenever she, the incumbent Admiral, is part of the sortieing party and is wearing her admiral regalia. Compare to when her outfit lacks anything distinctive of an Admiral (i.e. neitherthe hat nor the coat); the Abyssals become conspicuously less numerous, and even the sole one that shows up quickly submerges in disinterest.

It's obvious: They're all clamoring for a checkmate because for some reason unfathomable to them, their enemy has decided to deliberately put their king piece in check by their own pawns.
