well, Sumireko is from the outside world. Marisa and Reimu are from a preindustrial time locked location.
A bit late, but for such occasion (in my case was item hiding behind back) I use one flawless counter-girl tactic: slowly, but steady I move palms towards her breasts so that she should notice where it going. Usually girls reflexing to cover their breasts wirh arms for a moment forgetting about item. Then, while I have arms already prepared for grab, reclaim item in question back. Never failed for me.
