That's kinda reminiscent of how actual history went; that is, Korean war being a grand opportunity for post-WW2 Japan's revival. In a sense, much (or at least some) of the wealth was built upon the wreckage of the war.

Not just the economy and wealth. The Korean War was instrumental in speeding up the final peace treaty and ending the American occupation of Japan, as troops were needed to fight on the peninsula.
