Sure its not a girl?

IIRC "Onimaru" = "demon slayer" or something to that degree, so that name probably references the sword. Which leaves me wondering...is the person supposed to be an actual human or just a physical incarnation of the sword spirit?

Also, those are some serious fuckin' clothes.
