Wait, so all these events happens between the time he got pikachu for the first time and the time he met Ho-oh? Those Spearow attack must've knocked quite a worth or memory if he didn't remember meeting freaking Gen7 pokemon.

I'm disappointed. I was hoping for a nostalgia trip. Though this is an AU considering there are a lot of Pokemon that don't show up.

The fact that in the X and Y series there's a mirror world with counterparts for Ash, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie kinda solidifies this.

as well that this movie will be the beggining of a new "arch" of ash's journeys, but, kinda in a "solo" way, as he only has his pikachu and that's it... i wonder what happened to his other pokemon though?
