9. I will not include a self-destruct mechanism unless absolutely necessary. If it is necessary, it will not be a large red button labelled "Danger: Do Not Push". The big red button marked "Do Not Push" will instead trigger a spray of bullets on anyone stupid enough to disregard it. Similarly, the ON/OFF switch will not clearly be labelled as such.
Incidentally, I remember this being a problem with the early versions of US Predator drones. The controls for them included an on/off switch that was just a simple unlabeled button right on the main instrument panel, right next to one of the common controls. Pressing it caused everything about the drone to turn off, forcing a minutes-long reboot period... during which time the drone's propellers were off and it had absolutely nothing controlling its flight during reboot while it carried an explosive payload... and that button was positioned where it was frequently pressed by mistake (not even a mollyguard) simply because it was so close to other controls.
