I've started to watch this series for a moment and I must say my reaction is different. I wasn't exactly convinced by the animation (I think there were another series animated in the same way but don't remember what was it as I wasn't even interested in).
In fact, what got me to stay tune to this series is from Ep.4 when the Tsuchinoko Friend said "So she wasn't annihilated, huh?".
This sentence got me curious as I want to know what happened to the other humans and if she could be the last human alive.
Coming back to this after finishing the season, Kemono Friends was excellent. The CGI didn't put me off since the whole thing was CGI but it told a story well and ended it nicely without a pointless cliffhanger like some other higher rated series. I never have been much of a fan for zoos and stuff so I didn't think I would like it but I think everyone should give this show a try. I liked how they kind of layered a couple stories together so it all came together at the end. I am kind of sad that there isn't going to be an english port of the game but oh well.
