Several months ago I was doing some searching for ero manga when a page of this manga appeared along side my search results. I hadn't read any of this manga in many years.
The page I found looked to be the end of a chapter and had Rin getting molested and soon to be raped by some creepy looking old guy.
I knew this manga had been daring on the loli front in the past but that looked like quite a dark turn of events.

The later half of the Kodomo no Jikan manga is pretty dark. Let's just say that things happened and leave it at that. In case if there are those who care about the plot and still haven't read it yet, nothing very serious happened and the ending is a happy one.
