I don't see the problem there, she still has at least three paperboard cores to use. Oh, the sink is placed over the water tank. Probably kind of common over there but I find it a good idea.

It's entirely standard to have the water flow back into the tank via a sink; also, this toilet appears to not have a bidet function - since there's no controls (they're generally on the right-hand side) or remote visible.

that empty toilet rolls actually can do it if you peel it thin enough. its texture is like normal paper

Normal paper... aside from the fact that it's somewhat gritty cardboard that will neither wipe nor flush well.
