No matter where you are, I hear it can be "exhausting". And by that, I mean I've heard in reputable publications about parents dumping their children into homelessness in New York on principle because they told them that they were gay. There are studies showing that physical and sexual harassment and assault is also observed at higher frequencies than normal for gays than for heterosexuals.

I get infuriated thinking about it, and I'm hetero.
