I'm still questioning why they put in Ryo.

It's a crossover with Dearly Stars, and Ryo is a main character from Dearly Stars.

That's true. The character already appeared in a smaller spin-off aimed at a different audience.

This is quite jarring. I mean, he is already one of the males idols in Side-M, and everybody knows about him having being a crossdressed idol. Yet he is still here.
Unless Cinderella Girls is in a different timeline than Dearly Stars, of course.

This is exactly my point, except for the timeline. That concept doesn't really exist in their world.

Supposedly, the Ryo in CG is Ryo in his bad end, while the SideM Ryo is from his good end.
