  • Desmodas: A Touch of Fear

This is a very long-overdue commission for Desmodos of his City of Heroes character, Desmodas Siazar. I ended up spending quite a bit longer on this drawing than I'd planned, but I think the end result turned out pretty nice (there's just something about those demon babes :) (Smile)

    ).

I have her casting Touch of Fear on some hapless people whose shadows you see on the walls-- I imagine them crazed with fear and tearing each other apart ala Event Horizon. Not sure if that translated well, but I think it did.

    It's widescreen wallpaper-sized, btw. ^^

    Pencil: 1 hour 30 mins.
    Photoshop CS3: 36+ hours

Reference pic of Denise Milani used.
    Original size: 10602 x 6696 px

    [edit] Fixed her left leg

Also, for those who are wondering how I did the spell effect, I used the same principle as I did in my Clouds Tutorial. Except I made several layers and changed their blend modes to Vivid Light.
