I....don't know. I myself am bad at smelling things. Put a shit under my nose and I can smell it 3, 4 at best times out of 10. Makes me wonder how girls (both romance/romantic works and real life) are so concerned about their bodily smell. I mean, it's not like guys mind it. Some love it, even.

It's called "Nose Blindness," and it works towards the scent of your home, as well. Basically, the brain automatically filters out smells it smells all the time so that it can focus on new scents. Unless you are sweating an unusually large amount, or your own scent changes for some reason, you generally can't smell yourself. (In fact, generally, one of the ways I know I'm sick when I start to notice the smell of my own sweat, since it changes scent to something a little sweeter-smelling.) Likewise, it seems to you like your own shit doesn't stink as bad.

I'm numb to all smell, actually. Could be caused that I can only breath with 1 side of my nose. Left side is permanently stuck.
