Why is Wakamoto Norio on there as VA for the shinjin?

Wow, that first manga (or is that the light novel?) version looks pretty crummy.

The light novel is the one illustrated by Itou Noiji (いとうのいぢ, fifth column). And yeah, the first manga was canned right away because the art sucked.

I thought it was because the author wasn't following the story as the original author intended...

Live action Actors are reeeeally old... or they just look like over 30. [especilly Kyon and Itsuki]

I've seen the TMA version. There's a random classmate in one of the scenes that looks like he's over 50. I wish I was kidding.

There's a scene in the Haruhi-chan manga (parodying Super Sentai/Power Rangers) in which the shinjin talk. They were going to cast Norio Wakamoto as the shinjin for the anime version of this scene, but it was one of the ones cut due to budget concerns.
