Upon closer inspection, I believe you are correct. The two just look so similar (older models anyway) that I initially though M1911. What sold me on the Hi-power is that Beurling's pistol has mild diagonal etching typical of of the hi-power instead of the plain vertical etching found in the same spot on the M1911. That's about the only thing that stands out to me. But I'm convinced.
