Not to pick bones over the translation, but shouldn't it be "Orders, please"? 司令(しれい) only means command, to my knowledge, commander is 司令官(しれいかん).
司令 can also refer to the person holding the command (over the force), i.e. commander. This is also how certain shipgirls (most infamously Yukikaze, who screams it) use the word, including Tokitsukaze.
You might be thinking of 指令, its homophone. This one means "command" in the orders sense (命令), but not "command" in the leadership position or 'directorship' sense (指揮).
