Girls & Panzer Final Chapter Anime Project is 6-Part Theatrical Anime

The staff of the Girls und Panzer franchise announced at a stage event at the 20th Ōarai Anglerfish Festival in Ibaraki prefecture on Sunday that the Girls & Panzer Saishūshō (Girls & Panzer: The Final Chapter) anime project will be a six-part theatrical event anime. The first theatrical anime will premiere in December 2017. The cast of Anglerfish Team joined director Tsutomu Mizushima in his first appearance at the stage event on Sunday.

Wait, so is this going to be like Rebuild of Evangelion or the Lyrical Nanoha movies, where every new part will come out every 2-3 years...? Are we going to have to wait even longer to get our Girls und Panzer goodness, and to see the final conclusion to this amazing series??? Le sigh... le weep ... ;_;

We have to wait, sure, but at least we know that there will be more coming in the future.
