i've sadly seen stuff like animal testicles and hooves in alcohol. this is home made stuff but still, some people have weird tastes

Snake wine isn't really that much weirder than stuff like baby mice wine, scorpion wine or the Canadian sourtoe cocktail.

Spirytus, khekhekhe, surely ,,rektyfikowany". My Pops love to spike up vodka with that stuff.

The "grappa di vipera" was an Italian Alps tradition too (not legal by now, but someone does it anyway).

Alcohol is one of the better extracting liquids for many kinds of extracts, just so you know. Whole snake happen to be a popular ingredient, supposedly good for virility. (Probably in the same way as eating bull testicles.)

Though people around my part would rather mince the snakes and use them in a curry broth.

My mother make them herself.

I got two in my house right now. Not 10-20 snake a bottle though, just 1-2 each.
