To be fair, the Eevee could have had both conditions for each evo fulfilled (Sylveon needs Amie love, Umbreon needs night) so the trainer could have expected Umbreon but got Sylveon instead.
Though I'm not sure which evo takes priority of both conditions are fulfilled.
But joke's on you, trainer, Sylveon's a much better combatant than Umbreon.

Yeah that too definitely but the "I didn't raise you that way!" In this context certainly hits very close to home for a lot of people I'm sure.
This is actually one of my favorite little image series in recent memory. I'm sure it's meant to be light comedy but with far more dark and mean spirited than you would think but then the continuation so unbelievably sweet and such a good payoff.
Lol this is actually funny cause when my eevee was evolving I hoped for a second that I wasn't gonna evolve into an Umbreon because it was night. But yeah, I got a Sylveon like I wanted lol.
That's almost certainly a reference to parent's negative reaction to their kid's coming AND a reference to how (not only) spoiled kid's start to abuse their pets, when they grow bored of them. ________________________________ That's more evil than what most of the things Team Rocket does >:-(
