  • [HDN] re: Pet Trouble

More of my Yoshee. This time it's the blue variant. :D (Big Grin)

Aside from their distinctive blue color, longer arms, and slightly stouter legs, what sets the blue yoshee apart from its cousins is its ability to fly. When it ingests large prey, the blue yoshee pushes out a pair of membranous wing flaps that stretch from its arms to its legs. This has given it an edge against predators or other monsters competing for game since it can simply fly away, thus leading to assumptions that it is the species' way of 'flipping the bird' at predators. Researchers theorize that this may have been an evolutionary adaptation from a bygone age, when Lowee was still covered in dense jungles.
