I still have my Pz.IV Ausf.H in the garage even though I'm all the way up to the Tiger II and VK 45.02 Ausf.A. That Pz.IV is pretty reliable and flexible, even if a bit vulnerable against even some Tier IV tanks. I do find that the long 7.5cm is better for an even-tier to high-tier match, since it allows you to be more flexible with your role than the 10.5cm derpgun.
Then again, I still play the Hetzer on a regular basis and it's also one of my most decorated tanks.
