Fine art parody indeed. Amibazh loves to do them. The scene is an angel announces to Mary that she's pregnant, but this was a hugely popular motive for medieval, rennaisance and later painters, so there's hundreds of paintings with this motive. I was unable to find something that closely matched this particular parody.

Amusingly, a google image search throws up a shitload of images of Santa Claus... Presumably due to Doremy's hat and the pom poms on her clothes and the colors.

Considering Sagume's ability, I think making her a messenger would be a very bad idea.

No kidding, the annunciation has a lot of paintings. A quick Google search nets multiple paintings similar to this and there's likely many more. There's a long gallery of this recurring motif in Wikipedia.
