There's something about Warspite in a wheelchair that you can just simply give her a wry smile when she greets you in the office despite kinda knowing she can limp when walking but not for long.
So because she sits in her art people assume she would need a wheelchair to move in base? It's not like I have something against drawings like this but I like more when she just stands instead sitting in wheelchair but still in the end she's so cute that doesn't really matters, well it wouldn't be fair to my ships but I want to make her my 2nd married ship cause I'm completly head over heels for her :P

The real warspite suffered some (unrepairable) structural damage and had her rudder basically made almost inoperable during the war.

Thanks for explanation, I think I will read some more story behind ships I like from now on, so I could understand a bit more why people draw them like that.
I think it has more to do with the fact that her weapon is a throne and it is a little ridiculous.
well after Juntaland she was plagued with steering issues even after *almost everything in the engine room was changed* during a retrofit upgrade. S her having a hip/leg problem isn't out of hand.

They actually complete replace her steering system.
Basically if it had something to do with the rudder, the thing the moves the rudder, the wires to the ships WHEEL, it got replace.
And on her trials after her replacement it proceeds to jam up nearly causing her to ram into the pace boat...
It free itself up, but it kept happening.
The rudder will jam up, it had nothing to do with her structure, cause then she would pull to either side when the rudder was straight which she was not noted to do. The crew called it the steering gear gremlin.
Then during the attack that sunk Roma on of her turbines was destroyed. It was never fixed. In fact they filled the hole with concrete, and left it like that until she was scrapped.

So basically she is like those veterans whose old wounds will still come back to haunt them?

Sounds like she should have an artificial leg from that injury.

It's her design, she's just over flowing with charm and charisma that the sight of her in a wheelchair is just normal. It's not a woman with a crippled leg that's serving as the secretary, it's Warspite, the decorated English Warship.

It was not the same attack, but the same weapon, few days later. The Fritz-X destroyed one of her boilers and, as you said, the damage was never fixed, the hole was filled with concrete, permanently disabling the X turret in the process. Moreover, she struck a mine on 13 june 1944 in the Channel. The damage permanently locked one of her shafts, limiting her speed to 15 knots for the rest of her operational life.
