I was wondering why these four were drawn together, then I realized they all have the Bloodsucker skill.

Here we have the Romanian Pimp, the Transylvanian Sugar Daddy, the Carpathian Kahuna, the Wallachian Kingpin, the one and only based Vlad III, along with his women: his "wife" Carmilla and his "adoptive daughters" Stheno and Euryale.

Not included here are his "daughter" Bathory and his "adoptive niece" Nero.

    Awesome picture, that's for sure.

Remember that rank E is still better than any ordinary human.

Technically, yes and no. It's one of those uber-inconsistent Fateverse thing.

In contrast, Nasu had also stated that with E in STR, D in END and C in AGI, Medea would still lose to an ordinary man in a pure, no-magic fistfight.

Also, the Lancers do still have worse luck than normal humans.

I have yet to meet a Lancer who had worse luck than a normal human by sheer virtue of the fact that they were born lucky enough to become legends.

I guess you could argue Elizabeth has worse luck, though being born in an era where she got away with her crimes for as long as she did could also be construed as 'lucky'.

Luck is supposed to be the "ability to overcome fate", whatever the hell that means.

I find it hard to believe Medea would lose to an ordinary human when she was being beaten senseless by Rin (who was probably enhancing herself with Reinforcement) and yet didn't sustain any serious injury. A normal human simply wouldn't be able to put her down if she had those stats. They'd probably be a better technical fighter interms of pure technique, but actually beating her to death/unconsciousness should be beyond them.

Where did you hear that quote from Nasu about Medea?

I don't remember where I got that quote about Medea and I had tried finding it. So I'll admit you can take that quote with a grain of salt. Do note that Medea can heal herself in the scenario you gave, while the scenario I refers to forbids healing as well.

But about the luck, do note that many Servants like Siegfried and Karna are explicitly cursed and did die, terrible, terrible deaths in their origins. So in that case they certainly do have worse luck than an average Joe who otherwise would get to live to 60 something before suffering a stroke.

Many Servants are self-made heroes, they're not born kings or demigods(or in case of Cu Chulainn and Karna, being born demigod is the cause of their misery).

These heroes became heroes because they have the conviction to do great things despite their misfortune, otherwise in the case of Siegfried, he became a legend exactly because his tragedy is so much grander than a normal person on the scale of leading to destruction of countries. Nobody wants to be the protagonist of a tragedy.

Medea was said to be pretty strong in Fate/Hollow, carrying very heavy shopping bags. By contrast, Aturia's dependency on mana-burst for striking power was illustrated when she couldn't lift a reasonably light weight.

That is the power of a Japanese housewife.

I'd add that even someone like Guts from Berserk would likely have E-rank in Luck. Do people want to be in his shoes? Sure, he gets to kill big monsters, do badass things that the average Joe can only dream of. But damn his entire life is shit. And I doubt anyone would want to pay that kind of price.
