Google Trans makes the usual hash out of the commentary, but it looks like it's mainly a plug for the new book this is the cover from, and where you can (could) find the artist at Comiket. It says the book is "an illustration book of the summer-ish feel," so, just a guess, probably not about death? Death isn't very summer-ish...
