Is "Wao~n" the Japanese onomatopoeia for a wolf howl?
I'm afraid I'm more used to cat girls and their "Nya~n" than other animal girls ^^;;

I've heard it used before to describe barking/howling.

"Wan" is the most general bark onomatopoeia, with wao and wao-n indicative of a howl.
