I wonder how it evolves, though. Is there anything known?

Leaf Stone -> Normal Exeggutor
Sun Stone -> Alolan Exeggutor

I'm pretty sure it's going to be one of two scenarios;
1) All Exeggutor in the region will be the Alola form, including all wild specimens and ones you evolve (so still Leaf Stone), and getting a normal form is impossible (minus traded/transferred in from X/Y/ORAS).
or
2) Each new Alola Form is available on one of the islands (both caught and evolutions while there), so Alolan Exeggutor will be on one of the islands and normal Exeggutor will be on the others.

I do not think for a minute that these new forms will require a different method of evolution past location at time of evolution.
Out of these two possibilities I'm hoping it's the second one, although I have already completed the dex and own one of every Pokemon on X, I still do not want it to be impossible to get normal forms and be limited to purely Alolan forms. That is, however, what the information we have been given so far sounds like.

According to the official site (IIRC), it's the first option, only the Alolan forms will be available, to get the normal ones is just via transfering from the old games.

Forget it, the official site don't say it (not exactly, at least), but by the descriptions I still think it's the first option...
