She's not Re-class the battleship, so no. She's missing most of the visual characteristics of the battleship and isn't the same character - just as you wouldn't tag an Aquarian character by their previous incarnation, you can't do that to Rei here.

She did hear about it, but she probably hasn't linked what she heard (that he had a single strike duel using Tenryuu's sword) with what Rei here is describing (Re-class and her impression of the fight when she climbed up the side of a ship and for knocked off) .
