So I guess Flan isn't affected because she's technically not doing it right and just grabbing the ones at the end. Although that's still running water though. So maybe Flan just doesn't give two shits.

That, or "third shit" - she's eat directly from basket before reaching flowing water.

I actually wasn't even thinking of the whole thing flowing water and Vampires thing with this picture.

I just figured Remilia lost her nerve to grab at the noodles because she wasn't sure she'd be able to, and could only watch them drift down towards Flandre eating them at the bottom.

This was what I thought at first, too.

I think it's both that the running water affected her (do she can't reach out into it to get the somen) and that she's too slow in her reflexes to even start to reach out in time, so gets to watch them go downstream to Flan, who's picking them at the basket and thus isn't affected by the flowing water or having to move very fast.

Whatever the proper explanation may be, the mistress is again magnificent.
