Basically, Happy end of Ramadan for 2016 by the Gregorian Calendar.

Hari Raya Aidilfitri is the Malaysian festival for Eid al-Fitr (end of Ramadan).

Maaf Zahir dan Batin is a traditional thing you say like Happy New Year, in this case asking forgiveness for all the bad things you've done.

Hijrah (or Hegira) is the start of the Muslim calendar (about 622 AD Western).

So consider this cute, simple, little illustration totally overexplained.

Oh yeah, absolutely love being at the Malay peninsular during Eid. Beef rendang definitely strikes my fancy. Especially when eaten with pitcher plant lemang. That combination itself is certainly worth the yearly(?) pilgrimage to Malaysia.
