No, she doesn't have enough self awareness - she's taking them as gospel instead of as entertainment, which means she's assuming the worst situation is happening. She has no competition on that Island, so needed to land him first, THEN get the other manga. As it is, she's likely to leave to get out of his way instead.

Doubt it. She didn't expect the commander to run away. Plus, Fubuki won't say a damn thing - she doesn't have the confidence. She is now likely to leave of throw herself into a hopeless battle instead of dating anything.

I doubt it - she's more likely to shut up and run, or let him leave, rather than status anything. Plus, the angst is not worth it... even if Fubuki's anguished expression is beautiful too.
Besides, the way the imagined scenarios is playing out, it looks like the love interest in the manga has died or left for another girl, leaving the girl alone at the end of the story.
I'm hoping flashback, as otherwise it means Tokonatsu-kun left with Murakumo and left Fubuki neglected again.
I believe it is a flashback, the last panel on the previous page is blacked out possibly indicating the transition into the flashback. Also the borders for this page are all black where the other pages have been white.
