    Ranko appears to be taking issue with Aiko, since the onyomi of the kanji read as "ai" in Aiko's name can also be read as "ran".

    Sidenote, on its own, I've now learned that the kanji star of this strip means 'indigo'.

    Less of an issue, and more of someone who has found her "sister" of sorts.
    Hence why she was arranging Aiko's hair into twintails, similar to her own.

    Kanji: 藍 (On) Ran (Kun) Ai
    藍 can be read as Ran
    Therefore, 藍子 can be read as "Ranko". 藍子 is the actual Kanji used for Aiko's name.
