PS. The thing mostly known as “Kremlin” is in truth St. Basil’s Cathedral (Sobor Basilija Blażiennogo). Kremlin we call Kreml is just the defensive building, overall like Grad/Hrad/Gród or Warownia, those were the Slavic Fortresses/Castles. In case it wasn’t obvious for someone, other famous was in Smolensk the city with also rich Belarusian/Slavic Litvin(/Lithuanian) presence and history.

Exacta! It’s just a stupid “coloquial” name that sort of sticked up for some reason, likewise to Imperator being called “Tsar” LONG ADTER Peter I “the Great” (who became “Imperator of all the Russias”, title later acknowledged even by Catholics, see the Holy League and Order of the Dragon before that) a’ka the “Russian Meiji” became one officially (w/formal coronation and stuff). Compare to “God Save The King/Queen” LONG after they were Emperors and Empresses (Maharajas?) of India. Now where I live “Kreml” refers to the government because it resides there, similarly to the Polish Heads of State who used to reside in the Wawel Castle(?) (of which Hans Frank of the Generalgovernment-to-be-turned-Rechstaat was the last one 😅👌).
(Always wondered WHY not Crown themselves Emperors of the Canada following Mexican and Brazilian example, or check even Norton I from USaians? Emperor of Britannia following Imperator Totus Hispaniae after the Iberian Union would make sense too!)

Notabene it’s hilarious I learned proper name of that building in one of those older SimCity games when I activated the “cheat mode” following instructions given to the .txt file with game. What is confusing is that he is refered to as the “Blessed” (the thing needed before you’d call someone as “Saint” formally), BUT outsiders calls it Saint’s. Likewise the “Blessed Virgin Mary” (rather than St. Mary the Theotokos or smt) is very confusing…
