Lee, a medal-winning Olympic shooter, Rear Admiral on the Washington when it pummelled Ayanami and Kirishima, commander of ALL battleships in the Pacific, and one of the loudest voices against leaving Samar effectively unguarded (Halsey was damn lucky that the ships there fought as hard as they did and the Japanese fleet was not more aggressive) was kind of a big name.
