The fun part is that the black forest cake was named not after the Black Forest, but the specialty liquor of that region.

Belgium. If I recall correctly from my time in France if you see any character in Franco-Belgian comics eating fries he/she is probably Belgian.

As someone living in France, I confirm Belgium is indeed the Mecca of fries. Belgians make them like no one else.

I know. That's the Kirsch part. It's also an essential part of making the cake correctly.

Now that I think about it isn't there a contested claim on the origin of Hamburger? It's more often associated with America but I believe there were some saying it's from German origin.

Also Mongolian Barbecue is not really Mongolian. It's actually Tawainese.

USA does that a lot. I have yet to see proof burrito was made in Mexico. There are hints about it being originally made by Mexican people into USA territory, however that hardly makes it Mexican food. And don't get me started on those deep fried "tacos" that resemble more to a "quesadilla".

Another bit. English Breakfast Tea? The blend supposedly origined from the Americas as far back as the colonial times. It was a tea merchant in New York that popularized the blend in 1843.

And American Fried Rice is not American.

...It was, however, made for American GIs (by Thai chefs) who were stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. The reason being that Thai chefs didn't know what Americans eat on a daily basis and tried to adapt local food as best to suit the American GI's taste. Also, bread is expensive compared to rice.

Ketchup in it's modern form is American, but the original recipe (which was a concoction of pickled anchovies and spices) comes from China.
The anchovies were replaced with mushrooms when the recipe arrived in the UK and the US, then tomato ketchup became the norm.

Addendum: And the only reason it's called Hawaiian (as opposed to Canadian) was because that was the brand of canned pineapple the pizza store used for the topping.

The Hawaiian Pizza truly is a hot soup of different nations.
An Italian dish topped with South American fruit created by a Greek man in Canada, inspired by a Chinese dish, and named after a State in the United States of America.

So this cake's from Germany, right, dechi?
    Ehh?
Goyas too dechi. Stir-fried bitter melon (chanpuru) is a popular dish in Okinawa.
    Please stop that dechi.
Hacchan, you know anything about this, dechi?
    Heh heh...
Of course. It's one of the representative desserts of Germa...
    AMERICAAAAAAAAAAA!
They say Okinawa has quite the variety of things,
And I'm the one who made it popular in Okinawa!
Ach, the German Chocolate Cake originated in the United States, not Germany.
But the German Chocolate Cake is one of the more famous ones!
Hacchan! Don't pick a fight with a ship who hasn't even been posted here yet, dechi!
    Yes, it did! Desutte.
    They arrived at Okinawa.
