Even if I didn't have the chance to have the series with the original soundtrack and everything, his songs are still part of my childhood (thanks to the internet).
I still listen to his different Digimon songs and it certainly give me a shock and sadness when I learned it...
I'm gonna keep in listening to his songs and watch the Digimon series.
May you rest in peace and thank you for everything.
Yesterday, at the Kawaii-kon in Hawaii, Joe Inoue had a concert and did a small medley of popular anime songs. The second one in the medley was a version of Butterfly and was dedicated to Koji Wada. It was really nice. Hearing about his deteriorating health over the years, I always still had hope he'd be able to bounce back, so it's very sad to hear he passed on.
