Really? I was there but didnt hear anything about KAI 2 and I was listening the whole time. It was just a bunch of people on stage reading script and laughing and talking so low that the people in the back could barely hear or see. Maybe they announced it after the Kongou sister's orchastra and I missed it.
Now, with that calm out of the way;
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-I have no hope for Kancolle anymore....
8 months to reach Kai 2, with 2 additional CGs between. Compared to someone that doesn't even have a single seasonal CG in 3 years ...
I'm Samidare fan and admit I had a bit angry when it was not her, but I also used to support Kawakaze because that poor girl didn't catch much players' eyes though she had may potentials.
Now I'm happy that I don't need to care about it anymore. With Kawakaze's devastating night battle record, there would be no reason that she doesn't have the same league as Yuudachi (still feel a bit regret for Samidare).
As much as I love Kawakaze and am happy for her Kai Ni, Samidare really deserves it more. We know that everyone will eventually get their second remodel , but those ships that are normally overshadowed should be getting it first, even if it's just for a temporary boost in their popularity.
Aren't the dev going to rotate next time ? Now we have 3 Mutsuki, Shiratsuyu, Asashio. Next time will be the Fubukies and Hatsuharu right ? And not to forget K2 plans for bigger ships or Kagerou girls, I have the feeling we won't meet Shiratsuyu, Murasame or Samidare K2 at least for the next 2 years

There's no such thing as a "rotation" as far as K2 priveleges go -- it all depends on the availability and willingness of the artist, and sad to say, Samidare and Suzukaze's artist pretty much went inactive for a LONG time.
And it so happens that Kujo Ichiso LOVES his Shiratsuyus, and like Konishi, seems to be always available, hence we've gotten tons and tons of alternate art for the black Shiratsuyus.
Not to mention that Samidare is one of the starter ships, and she's only gotten new lines. All of the others have either gotten Kai-Ni's (Fubuki, Murakumo) or new seasonal CG (Inazuma, Sazanami), in addition to new lines. It'd be nice for Samidare to get love for once.
I hope that Samidare-aneki will be gettin' that before me...A new Kai-2 from the Shiratsuyu-class!I wonder who it'll be... I'd be happy to become Kai-2, but... I don't want to make anyone else sad...
