Very possible, as it's already established in this story that multiples of the same ship can exist with Taihou (as the first one turned into Anchorage Water Oni).

They aren't really a MP, the Admiral himself assinged them that status so he could take a break from "Torpedoing" for a while. They are more like the Admiral's personal body guards under the guise that they "aren't".

He's the one who established the MP, the shipgirls answer to him because he's hanging them over the fire if they're not. And they're not Abyssal too, so they don't have the right to call him out for not being an Abyssal. Beside, the Abyssals are the one who chose him to be the admiral, so it doesn't matter whether he's an Abyssal or not. If the shipgirl MPs attempt mutiny, the Abyssals are free to dogpile them as they're his subordinate because of loyalty unlike the MPs. Wo, Re, and Hoppo are among the ranks too, so Kaga and Jintsuu can't have whispers on their own. This plan is foul-proof, I tell you!
