Merry Christmas everyone! Tomorrow's the big day! What are you going to do on Christmas? And are you getting any presents? xD
So much for the Christmas spirit, I actually had opened my Christmas present early because I knew what it was. Well anyway, I've got a Cintiq for Christmas!!

(One of those joys of being able to use the money you've saved from not being social and having a poor diet //shot)
I have exams on January so I had to draw early in the holidays, then completely focus on my studies later on (tomorrow). I have told myself to become more active this Christmas, but it seems that my learning skill is still quite slow, but making slow progress as usual haha.
I was actually trying to learn another way of sketching when studying poses. Then I just came to like this stance so I went all the way with it. Funny enough, I started colouring the background before starting with the character, somehow I felt that it was easier this way to decide the lighting of the artwork. With that said, this piece had 3 different light directions, so took a 'little' more time than usual to colour and shade Youmu >.<;;
Was originally planning to draw a cool pose with two swords, somehow it ended up like as if she is holding a bow and arrow, haha. tsundereyoumuplz
Still trying with different colouring and shading techniques, but it seem that I've learnt the most from the background opposed to colouring Youmu herself ;D. Although I did realize how little my colour range is. Well, still learning on the go Star!
This piece is inspired by Ryosios on pixiv (id: 1508165), I absolutely love his works, but I think semi-realistic drawings just doesn't cut it for me xD (it's so hard lol) Will try a simpler approach for my next upcoming pieces :3
For some reason the picture turned out more 'purplish' than expected, it might be because of my monitor's colour calibration or something, because it looks perfect on my tablet. Probably have to fix it some time eventually.
Sorry to the people who requested commissions from me, I will try my best in completing them!
