And we wonder why Shou kept on losing the Pagoda (lol).

As someone who lives half an hour outside of town by car, I always consult the map before making any excursion away from home. I hate being lost on the road - it means less time for me to do my businesses.

The locals might misguide you on purpose, and that's where the local dialect and language would be very handy indeed.. They might misguide outsiders, but they usually won't mess with someone who talk their tongue.. That, and perhaps a cig or two over a hot cuppa while chatting with the locals on small roadside coffee house to break the any suspicions, and get some precious local insights and informations..

You wouldn't mind that they were ghosts?

Oh? I thought the spirit word is just a flair to refer to the locals.. Either way, i don't mind em too much even if the locals is kinda floaty and transparent, since i've seen em ghosts quite often, often enough to be a little used to it..

Shou-san flunked out of the James May School Of Land Navigatio. She spent a fortnight looking for the missing N before being told that it never existed in the first place because they ran out of space on the sign.

    Where?
Sanae-san, Shou-chan, I'd like you to act as guides for the Kappa-sans.
We'd better memorize the route, then.
Having said that, it's just one straight shot, though.
    Got that?
    Sure, no problem!
We just need to watch for that one corner where we turn.
    We didn't turn even once.
