Subconscious cutie!
Her expression changes constantly. This is how I drew her hat initially, but I also draw it more like a headdress, like on the bottom. It changes based on the angle. It's cute if it's kinda spongy.The collar is meant to evoke a sailor-fuku. I like adding slight uniform-ish touches to all the Touhou characters.I think of her hair as reaching to just below her shoulders.
I never know what color it should be, but lately I've been settling on green.I always wanted to draw her in summer clothes like this. I didn't draw her lower half, but I think a pleated skirt would go nicely with this.I thought loafers would look good on Koishi as soon as I first saw her.
I don't see this much, but I recommend drawing them with high socks.Paranoia!
Koishi's colors work well with both black and white, don't they?Koishi has a very difficult color scheme. I try to go for an atmosphere of refinement and innocent cuteness.
Things I watch out for:
-Making her hair too long.
-Did I increase the frills too much?
-Did I make the cord of her third eye too thick?
