Part of an Operation Galvanic raid on Kwajalein which sank a bunch of marus and damaged Isuzu and Nagara. Enterprise was in a separate task group from Essex, 50.2, as far as I know.

During the same op a week and a half prior I-19 was skulking around Enterprise's task group in the dead of night, perhaps looking for another shot at North Carolina, when her career was abruptly ended by screening destroyer Radford.
