Don't see what's so bad about having your kid be a much better class of vessel. Positive progress and what not.

I was more talking about how you would handle a shipgirl with the same name that served in an enemy navy during the same war and possibly at the same time in terms of family relations.

It's the same reason why we haven't seen Kuroshio, Kuroshio, Kuroshio, and Kuroshio yet.

Actually, looking them up:
Z1 Leberecht Maass sank near the end of February 1940, while Z1 Anthony would not be laid down until April 1942, so a mother-daughter(-from-a-foreign-father) relationship could potentially be possible.
