Funny pairings, though. You'd think the "natural" pairings would be Ushio-Inazuma, Akebono-Akatsuki, Sazanami-Hibiki, plus the Oboro-Ikazuchi already here. (Although I could also see a Akebono-Ikazuchi pairing if Akebono were portrayed more in her "big sister" mode than "tsundere" mode...)

The Ushio-Hibiki pairing is from RL history, at one point one of Ushio's turrets was removed and given to Hibiki.
