Why do I have the feeling that this one is left completely untranslated due to most of the fanbase hating her?

Maybe good news, she might presently be single. Straight from the source Cage in Lunatic Runegate it says

"To put it in human terms, one was the wife of a grandnephew of mine, while the other was the wife of their son."

I say might because of the word "was". As English has no interest in being a simple language, 'was' either means she is no longer married to said individual or is simply maintaining the fact what is being said is in past-tense. The latter is more likely but I choose to believe the former.

As for which I prefer, either 2 or 4.
