A friend of mine told me that Djarum is the 'strongest' kind of cigarette after Dji Sam Soe, but as I don't smoke, I don't know how true this is nor I understand his measurement of 'strong'. I assume it's just the nicotine level.

I don't smoke either but I'd take it's the nicotine level and the filter

In term of nicotine level and tar, yes Djarum is one of the higher ones along with Gudang Garam and Dji Sam Soe.. Djarum Super have higher tar than Gudang Garam (32mg vs 31mg) but lower nicotine than Gudang Garam (1.8mg vs 2.2mg).. Yes, i do have these 2 packages on my desk..
In term of taste, Djarum is quite smooth with a hint of sweetness, although the taste isn't as strong as Gudang Garam, which is pretty strong and tend to be somewhat spicy in my taste bud.. Strangely enough, Dji Sam Soe, the highest one in nicotine and tar, have a very smooth and full bodied taste..
The 'strong' taste in these 3 cigarettes might have come from the fact that these 3 are mixed with cloves, which crackle as they burn down, hence their name of 'kretek cigarettes', crackling cigarettes..
"jarum ku"..does she mean the needle she's been carrying around..or another kind of "needle"?
Of course it's the other one. :) Also, "Sama-sama enak" could mean two different things: - Tastes equally good, or - could be enjoyed together

ANTchSee, that's what you're after all along.Fine... I'm sorry.Indonesian brand of cigaretteGRYI told you to stop smoking!!First you're freeloading, and now you're making pollution! After all, you already have my "needles"!
Djarum, the cigarette brand, literally means needle. It's written in archaic spelling. In contemporary Indonesian, the spelling used for the word needle is jarum, without the D.You can have it whenever you want, is equally good, no pollution, and free!
