She seems to be saying the aircraft themselves are single-use, hence the need for bauxite to keep replenishing them, but the souls that animate them return each time. So that's nice. Maybe it's better to think they just don't have the range to get there and back, and the pilots bail out each time. Inefficient, but hey. Ironically, then it becomes more like the Doolittle raid.
