  • がんばれ小傘さん 1802

    さすがに慣れてない道を暗闇の中歩くのは無茶ですからねー。
    がんばれ早苗さんはここまでです。
    ちなみに車は相手がバックしてくれたそうです。

    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 1802

Because naturally, it'd be ridiculous to walk around unfamiliar streets in total darkness.

This is all for "Hang in There, Sanae-san".

For the car situation, by the way, I hear the other person backed up for her.

Reader-added tags include "Oversleeping flag", "Afternoon wake-up flag", and "Just a little more (until I oversleep)".

Today's survey leaves us totally in the dark:

I dunno, getting to see such a pristine and clear starry night is a pretty good trade off in my book.

THIS! As an amateur astronomer (hence my avatar name!) I can confirm that dark skies, free from light pollution, is a *very* rare thing anywhere near populated areas in the developed world. Japan is especially hard hit, because basically their whole population is cramped into cities along the coast. Japanese amateur astronomers sometimes go to rather extreme lengths to experience truly dark and clear skies, such as travelling to Australia.

Sanaewife should have cherished the rare sight and many Japanese would have, as astronomy is a pretty popular science and hobby there. Many schools have a small observatory and astronomy clubs for students.

I can confirm that, indeed, the Australian night sky is generally very clear and starry compared to where I'm from where the sky is almost always cloudy.

Where I live, the sky is permaclouded. I have yet to be able to see any stars decently.

Japan, from light pollution maps has no place that isn't completely unlit. It's not hard to shoot the sky but it's not completely clear. That being said, shooting the stars is fun.

    No city lights.
    The inn, 4:30 a.m. ...
    FRONT
    Guess I'll get a little more sleep.♡
It'll be a walk, but hopefully, if I start out now, I'll be in time.
I'll be fine with seeing the sunset from nearby.
    Pitch darkness.
    Snap Decision
I'd love to see the sunrise from the southern tip of the island!
As you'd expect, I'm afraid we don't have any spare flashlights.
