Well, it's not like Hiyou saw that much action herself despite (briefly) being the flagship of CarDiv2 (post-Midway). She spent more time being repaired, ferrying aircraft or training in the inland sea than seeing actual combat, unlike her sister Junyou who was active with RJ up north running Operation AL during Midway. Still didn't meet any of the fleet carriers from CarDiv1 and CarDiv2, in the end.

That's ironic, isn't it? The one that spent more time in active combat service (Junyou) was also the one that survived to see the war end.
