While that sounds like a cool idea, in the worst case it could devolve into a series the first few seconds of both songs being played alternatively one after another (player 1s song, player 2s song, 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2,...). The best I can think of is to play the song after a successful special or super move. But that won't do the whole song aspect of Symphogear justice either. And then there's also the fact that Genjuurou, Ver, Ogawa and the Autoscorers don't have songs of their own.

Could have looping track versions of each running in the background, but if one gains the upper hand it shifts the volume of that one up. If you're waffling through near even you'd be lurching between both, but not just the same first couple seconds over and over.

It is Maria again, but that suit is right above the timer. The one below the currently selected Maria is her version of Gungnir back in G. So we have Airgetlam Maria, Gungnir Maria, and Gungnir Maria without her cape.
Seems a bit excessive, we only really need one Gungnir Maria.
